ISE2015 in Review
Between the 10th and 12th February I visited Integrated Systems Europe ISE, the biggest trade show for AV and Systems Integration held in Europe. This yearly even held at the Amsterdam attracted 60,000 visitors from all over the world. This year’s event saw an increase in attendance of 16% over the previous year.
As always there is much to see at this major trade show event to anyone interested in Digital Signage, Smart Buildings as well as communication systems. The two full days at the event were enough to check out the sections of the expo which were of interest to me. Apart from the exhibits are the expo offered a wide range of personal development and training programmes provided by the ISE co-Owners InfoComm International.
The Digital Signage section of the expo attracted more than 400 Exhibitors from all over the world. The wide variety of indoor and outdoor solutions, Digital signage players and DS software control systems clearly indicate that this is a growing industry. Some industry players stood out from the competition and it is clear that while many companies are eager to enter the market, some established companies are protecting their position by providing higher quality more robust solutions.
One particular product which I was really looking forward to see was on the BrightSign stand. BrightSign, LLC is the market leader for digital signage media players offering solid-state digital sign controllers, software and networking solutions worldwide. BrightSign players are known for their signature reliability, affordability and ease-of-use. The BrightSign XD product line is the first of its kind to deliver PC-class features including dual 1080p60 video decoding, HTML5 support, Live HDTV playback, stellar up-scaling to 4K video resolution and swipe/gesture controls.
Other interesting products which I saw at ISE included a huge 3DLED billboard, dome projection, heat resistance super bright Screens from Dynascan and large scale hologram technology. I am looking forward for next year’s ISE 2016 which should be spread over 4 days instead of 3.
