vacancy: Junior Developer

Cyberspace Solutions is a multimedia company with more than 25 years of experience offering web development, eCommerce solutions, online marketing and multimedia development. The company is responsible for managing the online presence of a number of clients from different sectors and industries. 

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Software Developer to join our team in Malta. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS, and a passion for coding. Knowledge of TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Solidity, and Rust are considered an asset, but not mandatory.

Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be tasked with:

• Working alongside the multimedia development team working on the various multimedia and web experiences projects being handled by the company
• Design, develop, and maintain web applications using PHP, JavaScript,
  HTML, and CSS
• Work with WordPress to create custom themes and plugins
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse, design, and implement new features
• Troubleshoot and debug code to optimise application performance
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software
  development
• Write clean, well-documented code that is easy to maintain

Skills & Knowledge

The ideal candidate should:
Be proficient in WordPress, including the installation and customisation of plugins;

• Strong knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
•  Experience with WordPress
• Familiarity with TypeScript, Node.js, Python, Solidity, and Rust is a plus
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred, but
  not mandatory
• Students with a passion for coding are also encouraged to apply, with
  previous experience considered an asset.

Qualifications

The successful applicant is to have a degree of MQF Level 6 or equivalent in IT or Software Development, or an appropriate recognised comparable qualification. Relevant work experience will be considered an asset.
